Chloe is beginning to be much more alert and has quit cluster feeding in the evenings (yeah we’re over the first growth spurt) so she can cuddle with Daddy now, much to Daddy’s happiness. She also had her first smile response to my voice this week, which made me very happy.
Since her feeding schedule has normalized to every 2-3 hours, she has begun to change her sleep schedule from the same time as Marshall to waking while he is asleep. What a little smarty pants at just 1 month old – knowing when to optimize her attention with her parents!

Marshall has gotten used to her being around. He treats her as if she has always been with us and doesn’t seem to harbor any negative feelings toward her. He is so cute, when he wants to love on her he says “AWWWWW” then will grab her hand. He just loves to hold her hand and is so fascinated with her little fingers. You can tell that she really loves her big brother and her eyes will follow him as he moves about busily.
Still he has no concept of how fragile she is and I am on a heightened state of alert always to make sure she doesn’t get hurt, but even with both of them in arms length accidents still happen and she takes it all in stride. I know I said it before when she was in for her jaundice; Miss Chloe is made of some sterner stuff – when she gets older she will probably go head to head with him.
